Now that I'm quilting I seem to always be drawn to batiks. I also have a daughter who lives in Alaska, just returned two weeks ago. I visited one quilt shop in Wasilla and bought a pattern called Glaciers by Lisa Moore that I would love to do with batiks.(www.quiltswithatwist.com) I have several baby quilts to do in the next six months, so not sure if I'll get "mine" done very soon. I'll be glad to send you a pic of a square. Lynne PS I had a short trip to Bali 2 years ago - went with the wrong group, but it was incredibly beautiful - I had spent 2 yrs in the Phillipines as a kid I am working on a Courthouse Stars (pattern by Mary Huey http://www.maryhueyquilts.com/index.html) using a combination of batiks and “regular” fabrics and I can already tell it’s going to be stunning – it’s a VERY unexpected combination and that’s part of what is amazing.
