Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident. JOIN US at Batiks by Design and get $1 in merchandise for every pillowcase turned in each month!
Events at Batiks by Design:
Superbowl (Sew-perbowl) Sunday on Sunday, February 7th starting at gametime!
Wear the jersey or colors of your favorite team and we will divide into teams at the start of this four-hour Sew-per Bowl. Here is the scoring system for our game: 7 pillowcases = Touchdown; 3 pillowcases = Field Goal. The team with the most points gets to choose the charity of their choice to WIN the pillowcases made. Bonus: The individual high point getter wins fat quarters equal to her point total.
Treats: hot dogs; nachos; chips; dips; crock pot chili
Charitable cause will be decided at the end of the game by the winning team. Choices are: Women's shelter, Kids in Foster Care, Spring Hill Nursing Home.

Waterloo Quilts sells only handstitched quilts which are handmade by our Mennonite ladies within Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. We hope that you enjoy browsing through our selection of quilts. The quilts are mostly about 106 inches long by 92 inches wide which fit a queen or double size bed. If you find one you like, you can purchase it online and we'll ship it the next day. We have some King and Twins available, as well, we do a lot of custom made quilts.
