Fabric Chest and Batiks by Design are merging to bring you the best of the best for quilting and sewing online!

Fabric Chest is located in Waverly, Tennessee, across from the Waverly High School. We carry a wide variety of fabrics for apparel, quilting, home decor, batting, notions, and patterns. You'll love our selection and if we don't have what you want, we'll do our best to try and get it for you.

Batiks by Design has moved in with the Fabric Chest and is bringing its selection of Java Designs, that are unique Indonesian prints that make gorgeous quilts and clothing. These fabrics have been sold online, at our former storefront in Murray, KY, and at large quilt shows for over 4 years and when people see them, their comment is usually, "Wow, these are awesome fabrics!" You can see many of the quilts that we've made with them in our gallery. With so many quilt designs focusing on a large main print, these are perfect.


Besides selling batik fabrics online, we occasionally do quilt shows. This year we are doing a couple shows:


  • AQS Des Moines Show in October 2011
  • International Quilt Festival, Houston, November 2011
